O Holy Night by Adolphe Adam is featured in Swan Song, the ninth episode of Season Four. It is sung by Rachel.

It is the second part of her "NYADA winter showcase" performance. After her first number, Being Good Isn't Good Enough, she gained a standing ovation and is then asked for an encore (shouted out by Brody). She tells the audience that she will sing her favorite holiday number, O Holy Night.

The scene changes, showing Finn entering the former choir room, which is now used by the Cheerios as a practice room. The audience watches Rachel sing, while Finn packs up the New Directions' trophies. He places the 2012 National Championship Trophy into a box as he looks at the portrait of Lillian Adler.

Back at NYADA, people in the audience open their mouths, amazed by Rachel's singing. Finn gives a final look at the choir room as he pushes out the trolley holding all the New Directions' belongings and flicks the light switch. Towards the end of the song, Carmen gives a look towards Kurt as he watches Rachel, upset about Carmen's news on his re-application. Once again, Rachel gets a standing ovation, and then hugs Kurt as Carmen comments on her performance.

O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night
Of our dear Savior's birth

Long lay the world
In sin and error pining
Till He appeared
And the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn'

Fall on your knees
Oh, hear the angel voices

Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born

Oh night divine
Oh night
Oh night divine

Truly He taught us
To love one another
His law is love
And His gospel is peace (And His gospel is peace)

Chains shall He break
For the slave is our brother
And in His name
All oppression shall cease.

Sweet hymns of joy
In grateful chorus raise we
With all within us
Praise His holy name

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angels voices

Oh night divine
O night when Christ was born

Oh night divine
Oh night
Oh night divine

Oh Night Divine (oh night divine)
